  3. i format my replies and responses to asks using small font and the beta editor. just because i do this does not mean that you have to. how someone else formats will not put me off from deciding to write with them. that being said, i may format your reply to look smaller for aesthetic purposes. i write primarily in third person, it is what i am most well versed in. however, i am always okay writing within first or second person.

The product of a high school romance and a teenage pregnancy that was the talk of the small town, Melinda Christine Hagan came into the world already well known. Born July 2nd 1998 to scared and unprepared parents Anthony and Katherine Hagan, Melinda graced the world with bright blue eyes, small coifs of blonde hair and a strong set of lungs. Childhood was as normal as possible, playing with toys with loving parents doting upon their only child. The marriage, however, was rocky and unhappy. Every day it grew more and more unstable until the pair eventually divorced when Melinda was four years old. Her father gained full custody while her mother had weekend visitation, and the child was set to adjust to this new normal. At the age of six, Melinda began cheering for flag football games and there she met her best friend Julianna "Jules" King. The two would end up inseparable, becoming a pair known around town. They continued cheering all through elementary school together, growing closer and closer as the days went by. Come middle school Melinda began going exclusively by her nickname Mindy, refusing to acknowledge her full first name if anyone said it. Julianna began doing the same, exclusively going by Jules. Freshman year of high school is where the pair would go through a change. There they'd both meet Zachary Spencer, Milford High School's star quarterback and current junior. Mindy immediately took a liking to the older boy, and quickly latched on. Their duo became a trio in no time, the girls seeing Zach at every practice. It just made sense to hang out, a football star and two cheerleaders were a perfect combination. Jules wasn't the biggest fan of the boy but she loved how happy his presence made her best friend.During Mindy's junior year, Zach was held back for the first time and the group grew even closer. They'd spend weekends together and hang out after practices. Mindy's senior year of high school Zach was held back for the second time. During this year the two would begin dating unofficially, not putting a label on anything. One fateful Friday, after winning the football game against rivals Ruby Lake, Mindy, Jules and Zach all crashed the rival team's party. While Mindy and Jules went off to drink, Zach started a fight with rival players and the police were called. As luck would have it, the officer that showed up was none other than Mindy's own father. He asks her what she's doing there and lectures about underage drinking before going to stop the fight. The attempt ends in Zach getting tased and arrested by Officer Hagan, effectively embarrassing his daughter. Mindy demands she and Jules go home right after, spending the night together until it's time for Jules to go home. While enjoying her evening on her laptop, Mindy stumbles across a photo of her dad, Zach and two other men at the crash site of an alien ship. The caption has dubbed this new quartet as "Lazer Team." She likes the photo along with over 1,200 others helping it go viral. As the days go by and her father never returns home, Mindy begins to worry. It isn't until she gets call from Zach that she learns what has been going on: the government is now training her dad, Zach and the other two men how to save the world from aliens that plan to invade in less than five days. She also learns they've all acquired alien technology they cannot remove and must learn how to use it. She gets confirmation that her father is okay and her worries die down.Following this, just a day or so later, four soldiers possessed by alien technology arrive at the Hagan home with the intent to sabotage the Lazer Team's efforts of training to save the world. They end up taking Mindy hostage, and putting her under possession as well. In this possessed state she is sent out to try to take down Lazer Team. And, for a short while there, she is successful. That is, until, they manage to get the alien technology off of her and bring her back from her possessed state. From there Lazer Team and Mindy have to narrowly escape the first attack from the possessed soldiers before ending up at the safety of Milford High School. Or so they think! The school isn't as safe as everyone believed and the possessed soldiers find them once again. Another fight ensues, members of Lazer Team taking down possessed solider after possessed solider. Mindy is held hostage by one of the soldiers, her life on the line as he demands the alien technology Lazer Team acquired. Herman, one of the members of Lazer Team, saves her before she is killed and the final possessed soldier is killed. The battle may be over but the fight is far from won. The fate of the planet still hangs in the balance, and Lazer Team must go to the field and fight. Things don't look good for the four men who were barely trained for this sort of thing. Though by some miracle, or pure luck, they end up saving the day and winning. The planet is saved and Lazer Team, and Mindy by association, is thrust into international stardom.Nine months after the planet is saved Lazer Team disbands, unable to work as a group and losing their funding. Four years go by, Mindy and Zach end up going through a break up. With all this free time, Mindy now focuses mainly on college and less on relationships. Lazer Team gets back together one more time to rescue one of their members who is now lost in space. It seems like they won't make it home safely, and like Earth will be invaded once more. Luckily, they make it home safely and protect the planet from destruction once more. In the end, Mindy ends up reconnecting with Zach. They've rekindled their friendship that once was as both parties move on with their lives.

This verse is set after the events of Lazer Team 2. Mindy is still attending college, and trying to keep in touch with her dad. She is also trying to rebuild her relationship with Zachary.

This verse is for all interactions prior to the first movie's events. Mindy is a cheerleader for the Milford Mustangs and is dating the star quarterback and sixth year senior, Zach Spencer. She visits her mother on the weekends but lives primarily with her dad, Anthony Hagan.

UFO SPOTTED IN MILFORD!

This verse is for all interactions during the events of Lazer Team. An alien ship has crash landed within Milford, Texas. Mindy sees the stories all over social media and learns that her boyfriend and her dad have gotten involved with it. They are now apart of a quartet known as Lazer Team. Meanwhile, the aliens take over Mindy's body to try to get her to sabotage the Lazer Team so the aliens can win and destroy the planet.

This verse is for all interactions during the events of Lazer Team 2. Four years after saving the planet from the Worg, Lazer Team has split up and gone their separate ways. Zach and Mindy have broken up, Mindy has left home to attend college but she still keeps in touch with her dad.

THE LAMEST PLACE IN THE WORLD!

This verse is an adaptation of the first verse, where the Lazer Team is never created and therefore nothing changes within Mindy's life.

STRANGER THINGS

This verse is pretty much the same as Mindy's first verse, everything prior to the aliens coming to Milford. Instead, she and her father have moved to Hawkins. So, instead of being roped into aliens coming to Earth, there's the possiblity of Mindy being roped into everything going on on Hawkins.
